A note about brake pad selection in kits
Brake pads are available from the following manufacturers:
Our kits come with your choice of mild, medium and aggressive street pads. If you do not have a preference, we will supply the kit with mild pads. These ceramic-based pads are superior to OEM but are low- to no-dust and extremely quiet. These would be ideal for the show car or the family car. The medium street pads are low-dust, low noise but provide more bite - probably adequate for mild autocross and still ideal for the family car. The aggressive street pads are really dusty, can be noisy (mild gripping sound during application is normal, may squeal unless used firmly every few days) but the 'bite' and fade resistance is significantly better.
Availability of pads may vary. Not all manufacturers make pads for all calipers. Brake pads and formulas can be matched to your specific needs be they performance street driving, family outings, autocross or the track. Just ask your salesperson for details.
NOTE: Race compound brake pads should NOT be used on the street. They are extremely abrasive when used cold and will consume rotors rapidly. They may not stop your car when cold.
