Precision Brakes Company is a privately owned, internet-based, specialty manufacturer and distributor of high performance automotive brake products. Established in Spring of 2001, we are located in Ashland, Oregon.
Precision Brakes Company has actually existed since the early 1980's as Armstrong Motorworks. Producing and selling exotic $100,000 (and up) specialty sports cars was the main focus of the business as well as stunt and special trick movie car design and production, custom-made one-of-a-kind showcase automobiles, professional prototyping and racecar production.
The founder's combined (professional) engineering experience in the automotive systems design field spans 50 years, a solid background upon which to build a high powered company.
We Are
Daryl Armstrong, 46, General Manager, Chief Designer and Creative Mind.
Born in UK, grew up in Rhodesia, Africa. Studied Mechanical Engineering at University of Rhodesia, Salisbury. Came to USA in 1979 and has been thriving in the automotive aftermarket ever since. His forte is automotive suspension and brake systems design. His experience in the field started 10 minutes after his first step. (That's what his Mum told us.)
Professional accomplishments include a variety of chassis, suspension and brake system design and development projects for many companies, including; Berbach Armstrong Engineering, Armstrong Motorworks, Formula One Racing Products, Ryane Motorsports, Pisa Corp, Suspension Supply, Minotaur North America, Rotus Ltd. and others.
Hobbies include flying, soaring, driving and working (?)
Sara McGoodwin, 47, Director of Marketing and Advertising, Web Mistress and Creative Consultant.
Born in Portland Oregon, studied art at CCAC Oakland, Ca. (BFA) Experience includes managerial marketing positions with two other aftermarket automotive manufacturing companies and a variety of artistic endeavors, too many and varied (and embarrassing?) to begin to describe here.
Hobbies include gardening, reading, website design, writing, audio narration, world travel, raising unusual chickens and rabbits, collecting teapots, masks, boxes and tarot decks and petting her cats.
